After 8 years in private practice in Oregon, I returned to WSU to complete a residency in veterinary pathology and PhD training. When that training was completed, I was hired as a clinical instructor and then a full time faculty member. I teach in both the first year General Pathology course and the second year Systemic Pathology course. In addition, I am a faculty pathologist at the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory.

My research consists of collaboration with other investigators in our department, in the College of Veterinary Medicine, in other Colleges at WSU, and from other Universities. This includes a variety of topics that have included investigations of beak overgrowth in Red Tailed hawks, Campylobacter and Salmonella sp. infection in chickens, Lyme's disease in a mouse model, canine oncology, and evaluation of surgical/therapeutic techniques in small animals, among others.
